Just as the design of the 296 GTB was inspired by the 1963 Ferrari 250LM, the build of this car was draws inspiration from the one and only 1965 250LM Stradale (chassis 6025 LM). Luigi Chinetti, being a key player behind the project, chose to unveil the car to the public in the US national racing livery of white with a blue stripe. This one-off project with bodywork by Pininfarina was so striking, that nearly 60 years later, Piero Ferrari drew inspiration from that very same car (6025LM) when configuring his Daytona SP3 and even had a painting commissioned of that car for his office. In paying homage to the original intent of 6025 being a road going version of a 250LM, this car was spec'd to be a driver's car. The options include:
